A tropical citrus dream with a spicy kick

This golden glass of sunshine layers creamy coconut and passionfruit over bright Mello Yello, finished with a whisper of heat and aromatic bitters. It is sweet, tart, and endlessly sippable. One sip and you will be lounging on a beach somewhere tropical.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz can, coldMello Yello
  • 1 ozPassionfruit syrup
  • 1 ozCoconut cream
  • 0.5 ozFresh lime juice
  • 0.5 ozVanilla syrup
  • 2 dashesNon-alcoholic aromatic bitters
  • 1 small pinchCayenne pepper

How to make it

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice and add the passionfruit syrup, coconut cream, lime juice, and vanilla syrup.
  2. Stir well until the coconut cream is fully blended and creamy.
  3. Add a small pinch of cayenne pepper and stir briefly to incorporate the heat.
  4. Slowly pour in the cold Mello Yello and give one gentle stir to create a swirled golden effect.
  5. Finish with 2 dashes of non-alcoholic aromatic bitters on top and serve immediately.

Pro tip: Chill your glass in the freezer for 10 minutes beforehand so the soda stays fizzy longer and the creamy layers stay distinct.
