The Velvet Doc

Twenty-three flavors never felt so smooth.

This creamy twist on Dr Pepper blends cherry syrup and vanilla into a velvety, dessert-like treat. Sweet condensed milk and a float of heavy cream turn the classic soda into a luscious sipper. It is like a cherry cola milkshake in a glass, minus the blender.

Ingredients

  • 12 ozDr Pepper (chilled)
  • 2 tbspSweetened condensed milk
  • 2 ozHeavy cream
  • 1 tbspCherry syrup
  • 1 tbspVanilla syrup
  • 1 cupIce cubes

How to make it

  1. Drizzle the cherry syrup and vanilla syrup down the inside walls of a tall glass.
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk and give it a quick stir to coat the ice.
  4. Slowly pour the chilled Dr Pepper over the ice.
  5. Float the heavy cream on top by pouring it over the back of a spoon, then serve with a straw for swirling.

Pro tip: For the prettiest marbled look, keep your Dr Pepper well chilled and pour the heavy cream very slowly over the spoon so it floats instead of sinking.
